FEMTO-ST (UMR 6174) is a Multidisciplinary Research Institute affiliated to several representative entities including CNRS and UBFC. It hires more than 750 employees (among biggest French laboratories in engineering sciences) and is organized according to 7 research departments, among them the AS2M one – Automatic Control and MicroMechatronic. FEMTO-ST also runs a microfabrication technology center which is nationwide recognized. AS2M’s Micro and Nanorobotic research team will coordinate DyNaBot. It includes one of the largest team in the fields of microrobotics, micromechatronics and control especially for disruptive robot kinematics, ultimate positioning accuracy of small-scale robotics and the achievement of many kinds of complex robotized tasks at the micro and nanoscales. The team notably created the Percipio Robotics company in 2010 and recently created the Micro-Nano-Robotics Center (link)

CEA List is one of CEA-Tech (Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) three technological research institutes constituting CEA technological Division and dedicated to smart digital systems. Within this organization, the Interactive Simulation Laboratory (LSI) conducts research on real-time robot simulation involving one or more human users, locally or remotely. Its XDE (simulation engine) Physics platform addresses interaction with complex 3D models in eXtended Reality (XR) for digital twin applications. This XDE platform is now transferred and exploited commercially by Light & Shadows in partnership with Unity, Haption, Technip Energies, and Cyclife Digital Solutions of the EDF group. It is used in various industrial sectors such as automotive (Renault, PSA), aeronautics (Airbus), automation (SEW), energy and dismantling. Additionally, the XDE platform implements digital twins for training, operator assistance, ergonomic analysis of workstations, etc., within the framework of national innovation hubs such as Factory Lab or European with EIT Manufacturing.
