INTSURFACE (INTelligent space-time reconfigurable acoustic metaSURFACE) is a two-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship project (Grant Agreement No. 101209552), hosted by the Université Marie et Louis Pasteur/FEMTO-ST institute (France) and running from September 2025 to August 2027.
The project addresses the challenge of noise pollution in urban environments by developing a real-time adaptive acoustic metasurface capable of spatiotemporal modulation. Grounded in the physics of acoustic metamaterials, INTSURFACE proposes a metasurface composed of individually controllable electroacoustic absorbers driven by a pressure-current-based control system.
