Kickoff meeting

FEMTO-ST had the pleasure of hosting during the week from June 22 to June 26, a delegation from AC3E Chile for scientific exchanges and the kickoff meeting of the CNRS International Research Project (IRP) SMARTER (Jan. 2026-Jan.2031). 

During the kickoff meeting, Olga Allard provided a brief overview of the existing CNRS mechanisms that support international collaboration among researchers, with a particular focus on the IRP, IRN, and IRL programs. Yann Le Gorrec then presented the SMARTER project, outlining its objectives and expected outcomes. Together with Hector Ramirez, he introduced the project's two leading partners, FEMTO-ST and AC3E. The meeting concluded with a presentation by Oscar on AC3E's technology transfer strategy, followed by a visit to the AS3M department.

The kickoff meeting was held on Wednesday, 24 June, in the presence of Ms. Francisca Rivera, Secretary of the Chilean Embassy in France; Ms. Olga Allard, Director of International Relations at CNRS Engineering; and Mr. Pascal Vairac, Director of SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM. The meeting was organized under the patronage of Mr. Hugues Daucy, President of the University Marie et Louis Pasteur, and Mr. Juan Yuz, President of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.
