Discover the KAPTEOS team behind Syrah-Lab !
Kapteos is a high-tech company, resulting from a spin-off from the University of Grenoble Alpes. With 14 years of experience, Kapteos designs, develops and markets electro-magnetic wave measurement solutions in harsh environments. With more than 100 customers spread across 3 continents (North America, Europe and Asia), Kapteos generates more than two thirds of its turnover from exports. It has the widest band electric field measurement solution currently on the market since it covers, with the same sensor, frequencies between 10 Hz and 60 GHz.
Within Kapteos, there are four people mainly involved, working in the fields of optoelectronics, photonics, RF and industrial computing.
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ | Lionel DuvillaretDIRECTOR OF KAPTEOS SAS Specialization: Scientific instrumentation Role in the project: Member of the CVD and responsible for strategic orientations Lionel Duvillaret obtained his doctorate from the University of Paris-Sud in Orsay in 1994. He was recruited as a lecturer at the Hyperfrequency and Characterization Laboratory (LaHC) of the University of Savoie in 1994. He carried out research in the field of THz spectroscopy, electro-optical sampling and electromagnetic bandgap materials and obtained his HDR in 2002. Appointed professor at Grenoble INP in 2005, he headed one of the departments of the Institute of Microelectronics, Electromagnetism and Photonics before creating the Kapteos company in 2009, which he has managed ever since. L. Duvillaret has won around ten national and international prizes, is the author of around ten patents, 250 publications and communications. His work, cited nearly 5,000 times, makes him an internationally renowned expert in the measurement of electric fields. He has directed and co-directed numerous theses, ANR, DGA, PIA R&D projects, etc. Since 2022, he has led the development of optical magnetic field sensors and a universal platform for testing antennas and antenna arrays. |
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ | Gwenaël GaboritCO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER OF KAPTEOS S.A.S Specialization: Electro-optic sensors Gwenaël Gaborit was born in France, in 1978. He received the Ph.D. Degree in Physics from the University of Savoie in 2005. Since 2006, he has been associate professor in IMEP-LAHC laboratory, University Savoie-Mont-Blanc. He is also co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Kapteos S.A.S. He passed the French accreditation to supervise research (HDR) in 2014. His main research interest focuses on electro-optic sensors dedicated to non invasive electric field characterization and to Terahertz polarimetric analysis. The wide range of applications associated to his research include defense, healthcare, energy, telecom and aerospace. He has co-authored over 100 journal papers and international conference proceedings. He holds four patents. |
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ | Yoann ImmigTECHNICIAN Specialization: Optical instrumentation with R&D dominance After training as a senior technician in opto-electronics at Grenoble Alpes University in 2019, he joined the company Kapteos the same year. Within Kapteos, Yoann takes care of the manufacturing, characterization and development of electro-optical probes dedicated to the vector characterization of electric fields. At the same time, he also works on the improvement and development of production and qualification benches, the implementation of production monitoring software, inventory management and the maintenance of internal production software. |
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ | Guillaume Chevrier-GrosTECHNICIAN Specialization: Electronics and instrumentation Guillaume obtained his DUT in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing in 2009 and a PRO TIT Automation and Networks License in 2010. He joined the company Kapteos in 2012. Its main mission concerns the design, production and integration of optoelectronic systems. He is also in charge of programming the instrumentation and qualification benches. It designs and produces characterization systems and specific test platforms for customer needs associated with electromagnetic field measurement. He is co-author of several publications in international journals and international conference collections. |
